| Not just Amsterdam but also Aalsmeer (the flower auctions, certainly worth a visit), Schiphol Airport, Haarlem (also splendid and with a wide selection of shops), Amsterdam south east (Arena stadium, Heineken's Music Hall, shopping centres and exotic markets) are all within some 15 minutes driving time. It could hardly be any more central. Also Utrecht, Loosdrecht, Vinkeveen, Hilversum and the beach at Zandvoort – all within half an hour's drive. With the A9, A4 and A2 motorways close by the B&B provides an excellent starting point for a whole variety of tourist trips.
Perhaps you are just staying for a single night and want to combine worldly entertainment and the open countryside in two days. After a night out you can sleep in comfortably the next morning and then enjoy the natural surroundings at your leisure. Each season has its own charm in these surroundings, even in the winter the tranquil frozen polders are well-worth viewing. But you are naturally also welcome for a short or long holiday. Laze away in the garden, walk or cycle in the surrounding area, enjoy a good book and a glass of wine in the sun lounge in the evening, with the doors to the pond open. And you needn't concern yourself about the food: there is a wide selection of restaurants and bars serving food in the vicinity, from simple and low budget to two Michelin stars.
